My name is Kaitlyn, I’m 25 years old & I’ve been married for 3 years and have two beautiful babies. Logans is 21/2 years old and Maia’s 7 months.
Yes! I am a young mom, everyone is different but being a young mom for me is a dream come true: Something I’ve always wanted. Motherhood isn’t easy, it comes with challenges and obstacles that you always over come. Moms are perfectly imperfect and that, to me is beautiful!
I’ve always wanted to be that very involved parent as some people might call it the “soccer mom” or “ptsa mom” lol which is why I chose to be a stay at home mom. Now does that mean the house is always clean? The laundry is always done or everyone gets a cooked meal every single day? NOPE! & that’s okay. I have my lazy days where I want to do nothing or days where I’m running around all day and don’t have time. Does it make me a bad wife or mom? Nope! I always have to remind myself that I am human; Not a robot! Although, if I had the choice to pick, I'd want to be an Alien. Anyways... Moms are so hard on themselves whether we work or stay at home, we always think we aren’t doing enough but the truth is, we’re all doing amazing! I say "all" & "we" only because I know I am not the only one that feels this way!
Working on me? I’m new to this. Ever since I had my first child it’s been all about him and now all about them. They’re my drive for everything but we do need to take a little time to ourselves as parents and even as couples. Go get your nails done or your hair. Have a date night, go watch a movie do something that inspires you. It’s okay to take time for ourselves!
Going back to work, I’m sure I’ll go back to work one day, when the kids are older and in school, where will I work? Who knows maybe the family business but am I scared I’ll be under qualified? Nahh moms are superhero’s, multitaskers, teachers, cleaners, chefs, party planners, we do it all ! Let’s not forget we’re also Santa, and the tooth fairy 😉
